Business Development
This two-day workshop is for executives with P&L responsibility who want to learn how to enhance the
front-end operations in their business. It will present an integrated process approach covering everything
from marketing to the development of creative, compelling proposals and show you tools and techniques
that can be used to successfully drive consistent growth.
Business Growth Workshop
According to an annual study of over 300 executives in government contracting firms, their number one concern (what keeps you up at night) is the health of their business pipeline. Some are concerned they do not have enough opportunities. Others are worried whether they have the right opportunities. And more are concerned that they are not able to effectively bid for the opportunities they have.
It is known as the front-end of your business, and it is your lifeline. Without it, the world becomes flat, and you will inevitably go over the edge. Solutions? Some people say you need to market more (slang for network, since few people get what real marketing is), or get a GSA schedule (marginally useful idea), bid more IDIQs because all the money is going there (not completely true), go talk to your potential customer (sure, if they would only take your calls), make sure you own a CRM (usually not configured for the purpose and hard to enforce usage), and make sure your proposals are compliant, great, beautiful and informative (someone has a 12 step process – never quite works.)
Why isn’t it working?
The real problem is that these things need to be part of a fully integrated end-to-end process built on creative thinking and skilled execution, supported by strong analytical processes and tools that are purpose built for the government market. Want to learn what that would look like, and get some help instituting it in your firm?

The seminar and consultations are led by Mr. Albert Pines, Managing Director of 90Degrees of Design, who has 40 years of government marketing and business development experience. Because of the time devoted to each company, only 10 companies are permitted to register for the event, but may have two attendees per company.
